"I fundamentally believe that educating all children, even those who are poor, and non-White, is an achievable goal, if we truly value all children. Of course, that is the real question: Does American society truly value all of its children?"
- Pedro Noguera, City Schools and the American Dream
About the site This site was created for my Educ 272 class, Teaching Multicultural Children, at St. Norbert College. The purpose of this website is to provide educators with a variety of resources, materials, and examples of different ways to incorporate multicultural education into everyday curriculum. Each section has it's own focus on how to create a comprehensive multicultural classroom. Students then can be taught in an environment where they learn about each other and other cultures that are different from our own. The goal is to create a classroom community where every child is accepted and learns to accept others, not just tolerate. Acceptance over tolerance is the goal.
